In 2003, J&R Electronics started laying the ground work to provide rural areas with high speed microwave Internet. We set up our first customer in 2004 and have grown our customer base to over 300 small business and residential customers as well as providing service to four school districts in the area.

We use genuine Motorola Canopy gear for our Internet, which gives our customers the highest reliability available. Microwave Internet uses equipment simular in size and shape to a satellite dish but because microwaves work up to 16 miles away from the access point, versus the 23,000 miles a satellite travels, the speeds are faster and more stable.

J&R Electronics currently provides service in Coeur d' Alene, Post Falls, Hayden, Rathdrum, Spirit Lake, Athol, Harrison, Lewiston, Tammany, Clarkston, Rockford, and Liberty Lake. However, customers must have a clear line of site (no trees blocking the view) to one of our moutain sites: Rathdrum Mountain, Mica Peek, Lewiston Hill, or Tammany Hill.

Below is a list of the Internet services we offer. Upon signup, the installation fee and first month's service is due. Additional fees may be added based upon installation needs, i.e. extra cabling, router, non-standard mounting bracket, etc.

When it comes to radio technology we offer quality Motorola and Kenwood products to meet the needs of our customers. From handhelds, to mobile radios and base stations as well as repeater systems, we have what you're looking for.

GLOBALSTAR RENTAL PROGRAM

Our rental program is great for those who only need satellite communications every once in a while or who just want to test-drive a satellite phone. We currently have two of the GSP-1600 models available for rental. Each phone comes in a waterproof pelican case and is packed with one GSP-1600 phone, a wall charger, car charger and extra battery. Rentals go quickly during the summer months so reserve yours now before it's too late.
